Farmingdale, NY – August 21, 2024 – At PALS SkyHope, we’re fortunate to work with some of the most dedicated and compassionate pilots in the skies. Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone achieved by one of our long-time pilots, Larry Labriola, who has just completed his 200th flight for PALS SkyHope.
Larry’s journey with PALS SkyHope began in December 2010. Just a month later, on January 3, 2011, he took to the skies for his first mission, marking the start of an incredible commitment to our cause. Over the years, Larry has not only proven himself as a skilled pilot but also as a steadfast supporter of our mission to provide free air transportation for patients in need.
What sets Larry apart is his willingness to take on some of the more challenging flights. Larry has always been ready to step up when patients need him the most. His dedication and expertise have made a significant difference in the lives of countless patients and their families.
Larry’s milestone of 200 flights is no small feat. In fact, he’s only the sixth pilot in PALS SkyHope history to reach this achievement. To put this into perspective, Larry has flown over 51,000 miles as a command pilot, which is more than twice the circumference of the Earth! Each mile flown represents a patient getting one step closer to the care they need, and Larry’s contributions have been nothing short of extraordinary.
As we celebrate Larry’s incredible achievement, we also want to extend our deepest gratitude. Larry, your dedication, compassion, and skill have touched the lives of so many, and we are profoundly grateful to have you as part of the PALS SkyHope family. Here’s to many more flights and countless more lives changed!
Stay tuned as we continue to highlight the amazing stories of our PALS SkyHope pilots, who make our mission possible every day.
