FARMINGDALE, N.Y., (Dec. 2, 2022) PALS SkyHope announces that they have been awarded a $100,000 grant from Margaret L. Wendt Foundation. This funding will allow PALS to provide 253 free flights to underserved veterans and medical patients in Western New York PALS is able to serve these communities through a network of generous volunteer pilots who take them to the airport closest to their treatment or rehabilitation centers. Ultimately this grant helps the PALS mission to eliminate transportation and financial barriers to those receiving care through free flights for individuals with life-threatening or chronic medical conditions.
Flights in Western New York will be provided in the counties and cities mentioned below:
Counties
Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Ontario, Orleans, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, Yates.
Cities
Buffalo, Rochester, Niagara Falls, Batavia, Jamestown, Elmira, Lockport, Canandaigua, North Tonawanda, Geneva.
