Pictured is little Luisa and her mom, they have flown over 2,360 passenger miles with PALS! Thank you to volunteer pilot Doug Wohl for transporting this family home from Luisa’s care at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Azran looks forward to flying on the airplane, and his parents consider it the only easy piece of their son’s wellness journey. For families like Azran’s, we make critical care that is far away accessible via angel flights—but we couldn’t get missions off the ground without the support of our incredible PALS community.
The Patient AirLift Services’ network of volunteer pilots provide free regional medical flights and receive no compensation, using their own or rented aircraft. No fees of any kind are charged for these services. We don’t provide ground transportation.
Generally, the individuals who turn to PALS for air transportation are receiving diagnosis, medical treatment or follow-up for acute or chronic healthcare conditions and cannot afford commercial or charter flights.
