[Farmingdale, NY] – November 6, 2024 – PALS SkyHope is proud to announce a significant milestone in its mission to provide free air transportation for individuals in need of medical or compassionate flights. The organization has officially served more than 4,000 families, completing over 33,000 flights. People can fly as many times as they need – PALS SkyHope will always be there for them.
Since its inception in 2010, PALS SkyHope has been committed to breaking down transportation barriers to essential medical treatment and compassionate care. This milestone is a tribute to the dedication and selflessness of our volunteer pilots, who are the heart and soul of our mission. With unwavering commitment, our pilots donate their time, aircraft, and skills to ensure every patient can access the care they need, no matter how far they must travel. Their contributions have transformed lives, providing more than just transportation but also hope and relief during challenging times.
“Our mission has always been to provide hope and healing through flight,” said Donna Collins, Executive Director of PALS SkyHope. “Reaching 4,000 families is a testament to the incredible generosity of our community and the dedication of our volunteers. Each flight represents not just a journey, but a lifeline to care and support for those who need it most.”
PALS SkyHope’s efforts have had a profound impact, particularly on rare disease patients, veterans, and children who otherwise might not have had access to essential medical care. By removing the financial burden of travel, PALS SkyHope allows families to focus on what truly matters – their health and well-being.
As PALS SkyHope continues to grow, the organization remains committed to expanding its reach and serving even more families in need. With the continued support of our donors, pilots, and partners, we look forward to achieving even greater milestones in the years to come.
